Vehicle Retailing in 2021 is subject of third in VRA’s Outlook Seminar series

Vehicle Retailing in 2021 will be the subject of the Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA)’s third 2021 Outlook Seminar at 10am on 19th November.

The main presentation will come from Mike Jones of ASE Global while Philip Nothard of Cox Automotive will talk about the latest Insight Report findings.

The webinar is the latest in a series of five briefing events that the VRA is holding during November and December that are open to anyone who works in the motor industry. Each lasting 30 minutes, they are designed to provide a compact but expert summary of next year’s prospects in key areas of remarketing.

Sam Watkins, chair at the VRA, said: “The health of vehicle retail will be a crucial factor in the remarketing and used car and van sectors over the next 12 months but it remains difficult to predict the trends that will develop with any degree of certainty.

“We’re looking forward to exploring this area with Mike and Philip, providing a degree of insight that should prove extremely useful to those attending the webinar.”

The first two 2021 Outlook Seminar events have featured Steve Freeman, head of automotive at MHA Consulting looking at Possible Coronavirus Scenarios in 2021, while a panel discussion on The Used Car Market in 2021 included Derren Martin, head of UK valuations at Cap Hpi, Rupert Pontin, director of insight at Cazana and Jayson Whittington, chief car editor at Glass’s.

Sam said: “We’re really pleased with the way the Outlook Seminars have been going. Not only has the content been informative and stimulating but there has been a very high level of discussion and interaction.”

She added that the VRA Outlook Series was taking the place of the VRA Seminar, which is normally held every November but had proven impossible to organise in the current environment.

“Despite the pandemic, we wanted to try and deliver something that fulfilled a similar role to the VRA Seminar but were also mindful of the degree of webinar fatigue around. Over the last few months, most of us have spent a lot of time on Zoom.

“The format at which we have arrived is designed to pack the maximum amount of information into the minimum time commitment. Anyone who attends all five events should find themselves fully briefed about remarketing over the next year.

“One of the good things about our normal seminar is that it is open to anyone who works in the motor industry and we have decided to continue this offer into the 2021 Outlook Seminars. It is not just for VRA members.”

Those who wish to register to attend the 2021 Outlook Seminars should e-mail info@thevra.co.uk.
