VRA announces first details about 2025 Auto Summit

First details about the Vehicle Remarketing Association’s (VRA) 2025 Automotive Summit – expected to attract more than 200 delegates – are being announced today.

Held at The Slate at Warwick University on Wednesday 19th November, it will feature detailed sessions on The Macroeconomic Picture, UK Auto Retail, Remarketing for Fleets and New Technology.

Participants so far confirmed include Glynne Jones of the Bank of England, Duncan McPhee of Hendy Group, Michael Dunne of Dunne Insights, Chris Bond of BDO UK, Shaun McGirr of DevOn and Lorna McAteer of National Grid.

Overall event sponsorship comes from OMODA&JAECOO UK and country director Victor Zhang will be among those taking part.

Philip Nothard, chair at the VRA, said: “In recent times, the VRA has been growing both in numbers of members and the influence it holds in the remarketing sector, and each year we aim to make our Summit bigger and better to reflect this progress.

“Last year, we had our best ever feedback for the event. For 2025, we’re working to move forward again by producing the strongest possible list of speakers covering the most salient subjects to help our remarketing audience prepare for the future, while expecting to attract more delegates than ever.”

He explained that the format of the event would be enhanced, with more interviews and discussion panels in addition to traditional presentations.

“There will always be a place in this kind of event for experts standing at the podium to deliver high quality information, but we have found that a more interactive approach can create new insights as well as greater audience engagement.”

The Summit is open not just to VRA members but is also free to attend for other motor industry professionals who want to find out more about current thinking and forthcoming developments in the remarketing sector.

Victor Zhang commented: “As a main sponsor of the VRA Auto Summit 2025, which coincides with our launch into the remarketing sector, we look forward to the sharing of insights, best practice and trend forecasts from the wider industry at what promises to be a fascinating summit. “

Philip said: “This is very much our shop window event, showing the strength-in-depth of our organisation and we want as many people as possible to come along and hopefully consider becoming part of the VRA.

“We must also say thank you to our main sponsors, OMODA&JAECOO UK, who very much make the event possible. Opportunities also remain available for other businesses who would like to become partners in the event.”
