Mike Fazal, CEO of Leasing.com, has joined the line-up of speakers for the September member meeting of the Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA).
He will share insights into the latest leasing trends, exploring how the government’s electric vehicle grants are impacting customer engagement, and the strategies manufacturers are adopting in response to these grants.
The VRA meeting, taking place on Wednesday 24 September, is being held at the Derbyshire headquarters of Toyota Manufacturing in the UK.
It will also feature a discussion on a how to handle current shortages of three to five-year-old car and van stock featuring Nick Press, finance and leasing development director at AutoTrader; Martin Cleaver, group trade disposal manager at Sytner; and Melissa Seckington, head of corporate sales at Wilsons Auctions.
Also, there will be a presentation on the ramifications of the Supreme Court decision on car finance commission by VRA legal counsel, Jonathan Butler of Geldard’s, followed by an update on the operational and practical aspects of the situation by Anthea Coulter, account director of Equiniti.
Finally, Rupert Pontin of Brego will provide an update on new and used car market trends.
Philip Nothard, chair of the VRA, said: “At moments such as this, when the new and used vehicle markets are being impacted by a wide range of factors, we work hard to provide our members with the insights that they need. This meeting – covering everything from the Supreme Court decision to the potential for an EV price war – is a good example of that determination. It should prove to be an excellent session.”
