Full speaker line-up announced for VRA’s 2025 Automotive Summit

The full speaker line-up has been announced for the Vehicle Remarketing Association’s (VRA) 2025 Automotive Summit, being held at Warwick University’s The Slate venue on Wednesday 19th November.

Expected to attract more than 200 delegates, it is the industry body’s showcase event of the year, explained chair Philip Nothard, designed to provide a comprehensive briefing about current issues affecting remarketing.

He said: “While it has been another successful year for the used car and van sectors, the remarketing industry is operating against a backdrop of what often feels like ever faster moving events.

‘What we aim to achieve with the Summit is to provide, in a single day, a wide range of information and opinions that will help remarketing professionals navigate this difficult terrain, avoiding pitfalls and maximising opportunities.”

The Summit consists of four sessions. The Current Macroeconomic Picture includes Glynne Jones of the Bank of England, VRA legal counsel Jonathan Butler of Geldards, Michael Dunne of Dunne Insights, and Victor Zhang, country director of the event’s main sponsor OMODA&JAECOO UK.

Remarketing Strategies and Advice for Fleets features Grainne van Berkum of OPENLANE Europe, Stuart Chamberlain of Arval UK, and Lorna McAtear of National Grid.

That is followed by New Developments in UK Auto Retail with Duncan McPhee of Hendy Group, Chris Bond of BDO, Vicky Hart of Waylands; Anthony Brennan of MTC, and Bruno Miradoli of Keyloop.

Finally, The Latest in Remarketing Technology has contributions from AI consultant Shaun McGirr, James Tew of iVendi, Jacqui Barker of Keyloop, as well as a live battery health check demonstration by Nikolaus Mayerhofer from session sponsor Aviloo.

The Summit is supported by OMODA&JAECOO UK, Aviloo, Keyloop, Brego as well as Geldards, and Philip said: “Without our sponsors, the Summit would not be possible, so we are very grateful for their generous backing.”

Victor Zhang, country director, OMODA&JAECOO UK, added: “As a sponsor of the VRA Auto Summit 2025, which coincides with our launch into the remarketing sector, we look forward to the sharing of insights, best practice and trend forecasts from the wider industry at what promises to be a fascinating event.”

The event is open not just to VRA members but is also free to attend for other motor industry professionals who want to find out more about current thinking and forthcoming developments in the remarketing sector.

Philip added: “Already, about a third of the places have been booked and we urge anyone interested in coming along to register as soon as possible. We believe this is our strongest line-up yet and expect demand to be very high.”
