VRA webinar to concentrate on member wellbeing during the coronavirus crisis

A webinar dedicated to helping individuals look after their wellbeing through the pressures created by the coronavirus pandemic is being held next month by the Vehicle Remarketing Association.

“How to Stay Well in a Time of Crisis,” will take place at 3pm on Thursday 10th September and is open to all members of the VRA.

Speakers include Prash Kotecha of Mantra Consulting, who will present on reducing stress and building resilience, and Rachel Clift, health and wellbeing director at automotive industry charity Ben, who will cover lockdown trends such as anxiety, depression, financial welfare and mental health; top tips to manage your moods; and the support available through Ben’s mental health pathway.

VRA members will also open up about their own experiences – Derren Martin of cap hpi will discuss his battle against prostate cancer and James Davis of Cox Automotive will talk about the stigma of mental health in the workplace. The event is being moderated by Curtis Hutchinson, co-host of the Motor Trade Radio podcast.

Sam Watkins, chair at the VRA, said: “An organisation such as the VRA should not just be about supporting members in a professional and technical sense, but also to help support their wellbeing, especially as we all face some very challenging and unprecedented circumstances.

“This webinar is designed to provide ideas and examples from both experts, and from fellow remarketing professionals bravely speaking about their own experiences, that could prove to be invaluable over the coming months.”

The webinar is open to all VRA members and further details are available at info@thevra.co.uk.
